Wesley tried to hide his disappointment, nodding in acceptance of the decision with a smile although his voice was dripping with somberness.  "Oh... okay."  She spoke of the next time they would meet, and that caused a spike of excitement in Wesley's heart for a moment as it was something he absolutely did not expect.  He was so convinced that their conversation was a one-off fluke where they would go their own way and neither would see each other again... because that's the kind of luck Wesley had.  Everything that was happening that night was unrealistic.  Extraordinary by Wesley's account.

"...n-next time?"  he asked, barely above a whisper.  She wanted to see him again?  Why?  Before he could make a fool of himself and ask her why she wanted to see him again Marissa began planning out how they could keep in touch and it became apparent that normal electronic communication was a no-go.  He wouldn't be texting, calling, or emailing her any time soon.  The hope that Wesley might be able to avoid looking like an idiot next time by talking over social media so he was out of range of her allure seemed to not be something he should bank on until her electric abilities work.

"Well, your dad is ARMA... I'm sure I'll see you on Bring Your Daughter to Work Day." he joked.  He doubted that was an ARMA thing, but hoped it was.  His mind was on it's way down the imagining tons of rugrats running around the halls as ARMA members showed off their spells and talked to young prospective ARMA recruits.  He would have to talk to Alistair about organizing a career day for high school students too.  Get em' while they're young.  Before the Order can.   His little daydream was cut short by what sounded like Marissa inviting him to see the loft she was going to be staying in.

It was more distracting than the animalistic glow within her eyes because he knew what going home with her could lead to.  Yes, Marissa spoke about how she was too mature and self assured to just let her allure get the better of her... but throughout their whole conversation she was being overly affectionate.  Very touchy-feely.  Placing her head on his shoulder, holding his hand despite only meeting him moments prior... and now making plans to see him again and basically asking him to walk her home, though not in so many words.

"That sounds cool.  I'd love to see it."  he admitted.  Still, he wouldn't simply take advantage of her openness.
